At UK Linkology, we pride ourselves on offering in-house content writing that’s created by our in-house team of writers.

We know that AI is on everyone’s minds right now, with ChatGPT and other tools taking the market by storm with their creepy realism.

Our team does use AI to support their work and help with keyword research and proofreading, but we pride ourselves on using an in-house team of writing experts for that personal touch.

But how do we know they’re not using AI content writing tools on the side? Here are the processes we use.

Human Reviews

The main factor that sets UK Linkology and our in-house writing team apart from the rest is our human writers.

They are supported by human editors, who check each piece for grammar, spelling and any inconsistencies or inaccuracies, which could be a sign that our writers used an AI to help them create work.

If we notice any errors, we provide feedback to our writers and ask them to provide sources of inspiration and to tell us how they put the piece together. Once we know the reason for the inconsistency or issue, we can help them with ways to avoid it in the future.

As well as checking the content, we also check document information on all our pieces, so we can see how long the writer spent creating the content. If we were to notice anything incongruous, we’d discuss this with the writer and get them to create an original piece.

These comprehensive checks take a lot of time, and we use professional, experienced editors for this work. While it might seem expensive, this thorough review process ensures that we create high-quality, relevant content for all of our clients, whether they’re buying our cheaper backlinks or our custom backlink packages for specialist niches, such as iGaming or international sites.

This approach helps us to ensure that our link-building practices are entirely white label and don’t contradict Google’s requirements for quality backlink portfolios.

As well as helping us to check content for accuracy and quality, these reviews also help our team to stay ahead of the latest developments in the SEO market.

Google and other search engines often review their practices, and our editors stay on top of these developments and offer advice to our writers to ensure that their work is always cutting-edge.

Plagiarism Checkers

Automated plagiarism checkers aren’t infallible, but they can be a useful initial indicator of any issues with copying content.

As such, our editors also review each batch of content using multiple tools, including Copyscape, Small SEO Tools and others.

Any instances of similarity between our content and others are reviewed, and we’ll change small phrases to ensure the content is completely original.

We rarely see any large instances of copying work, but if we did, we’d talk to the writer and have them re-write the piece.

Going forward, we’ll check their work more thoroughly and if they keep copying work, we will consider their position on the team.

We have explored tools to check for AI influence, and reviewed the best tools on the market, and we always run checks on pieces to see if there is any chance the content was written using a large language tool, such as ChatGPT.

While the reports from these tools aren’t 100% accurate, we use them periodically to check work and will always talk to any writers if we’re concerned. This approach helps us to rest assured that our work is always written by humans and that it won’t be considered as AI by any search engines.

If a writer does create slightly robotic work, or uses repetition, then we will advise them on ways to avoid and reduce this. As a result, our work is always clearly written by a human being and offers all the benefits of this to our customers.

Regular Spot Checks

As well as checking each piece from our writers, we regularly communicate with them and talk to them about their writing processes.

That means we can check if anyone’s using any tools that might not be compatible with our practices and quickly inform our writers that these aren’t acceptable.

In some cases, we might ask our writers to share the way they wrote a particular piece to check that they’ve not taken too much influence from an external source and have only used it for inspiration. This also helps us to see the work processes of our writers and find ways to help them be more efficient.

Also, by communicating regularly with our team and having an open-door policy when it comes to queries about writing, we’re able to keep them motivated and ensure that they know what we expect and are ready to deliver it.

Providing Detailed Content Guidelines

One thing that AI struggles with is coming up with content ideas that are tailored to a specific audience.

While giving it prompts can help you to get the content you expect, it can’t come up with the ideas itself.

Our in-house writers have guidelines to follow, which revolve around creating varied backlink content to create a diverse portfolio for our clients.

The editors review the content and provide feedback for each staff member, and work with them to improve their work, so they can craft pieces that are tailored to sites for placements and client links.
